It has been fun making a website. I've always liked simple, informational 1990s-style sites and it's great that I get to make one in 2026. I wanted it to load quickly, be easy to nagivate, and instantly present visitors with the information they came for. No unnecessary clicks, scripts, pop-ups, or cookies. While it is a small site, I do like it so far, and I think the color scheme based on David's logo came out well. There are still a few more ideas for things to add.
Most of the work was writing and going through my photos, but I did learn a few things about HTML and web hosting. So far, I really don't regret doing this the old-fashioned way.
We plan on adding more to the blog, not on a regular schedule, but when we have something interesting for the public or for other radon professionals.
There have been plenty of things to do starting up a new business. We took continuing education classes and renewed our old certifications, tested the new radon monitors, and built out the job trailer. We've already done several installations, all of which have gone well, and fixed a non-working system that was installed by another company. It has been cold, but so far I really don't mind working outdoors. If you need any radon information or services in the Fox Valley, we look forward to working with you.
